Scheduled for Sunday, May 12th, at 11:00 am, the Mother’s Day Floral Bar and Mission Project will take place in the fellowship hall located at 11735 N Scottsdale Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85254.

The event promises a delightful array of floral festivities, accompanied by a unique opportunity for children in 2nd-5th grades. During Sunday School Classroom time, participants will engage in a mission project supporting Southwest Human Development. They will assemble flowerpots for the Grow a Reader Program, an initiative aimed at promoting literacy among children. The Sunday School children will craft paper flowerpots, each adorned with QR codes enabling others to champion literacy by selecting books to purchase for families in need.

Rev. Leah Bergstrom, Pastor of Congregational Care at North Scottsdale United Methodist Church, expressed the significance of the event, stating, “At NSUMC, we deeply value the spirit of motherhood and recognize the profound impact that mothers and mother figures have on our lives. This event is our way of honoring these influential individuals and expressing our gratitude for their love, strength, and wisdom.”

For those wishing to celebrate and express appreciation for the remarkable mothers and mother figures in their lives, the Mother’s Day Floral Bar and Mission Project offers a meaningful opportunity to do so within a supportive and communal atmosphere.
